I AM BACK!
I AM BACK….It's been a year since my
last entry but on the brighter side I beat the combined forces of George R.R.Martin and Chetan Bhagat to their next softporn book and Rahul Gandhi to Government.
In my defence writing a blog is not, as Aziz Naser so eloquently put in 'Hyderabad Nawabs', Mallappa ki Kheer. Especially for someone suffering from acute ADHD like me. There are so many things happening that by the time I get my head around a topic, something even more incredible happens, one moment I am reading newspapers and gathering points to write about Indian elections and next moment Himesh Reshammiya/Honey Singh duo are releasing 'The Expose'.
Writing a blog is not easy. Period! Anyways to carry on a quick recap:
One hot July in the
year 2013 while drinking Aamras and contemplating the meaning of life I Chumma decided to write a letter to
Sidin Vadukut (Author, Columnist and Blogger Extraordinaire) extolling the
role of his much acclaimed Dork Trilogy on my social life and posted the same
as a blog (cheap fellow I am) which was followed immediately by a cease and
desist letter from the local chapter of 'Nair Seva Samiti' on the usage of any
more Malayalam words and permanent visa ban from the Government of Kerala and
Dubai.
Since then my life has gone a full
circle, much as my physique.
Devoid of my favourite pastime of springing random and mostly inappropriate Malayalam at
the unsuspecting passerby, I have had an ample time to reflect upon some of the
greater dilemmas of life faced by the youth of my generation including but not
limited to the mysterious disappearance of the 90s pop icons Daler Mehendi and Altaf
Raja from the scene to the catastrophic news of Sunny Leone quitting porn industry
and the lamenting of Poonam Pandey joining the same (Face it; there is nothing hot about
Poonam Pandey. To start with she is Pandey dude! Years of Hindi classes and
being brought up in a majorly North Indian neighborhood has rubberstamped the
image of Pandey in my head. Show me a Pandey and I’ll show you a Hindi teacher.)
It was while reflecting upon the
aforementioned challenges is when I asked myself “Why the fuck am I storing all
that crap securely in my head when I can be a good Indian and spread it all
over cyber space?” and that my dear readers is the reason behind my renewed
resolve to write blogs about random crap that I have seen, heard or
experienced.
Watch this space for more.
Cheers!!
